![]() Senator Scott Brown Broke Down. Having been recently elected by the people of Massachusetts to bring an awakening to congress about the will of the people, he has already sold his soul or at least sold his vote. According to the Wall Street Journal and an article posted by Reuters, Senator Brown is planning to break from the will of the people and vote for the over reaching Senate jobs bill. The citizens of this nation, and specifically in Massachusetts, voted for a cleansing of an over-reaching federal government. Instead, they have gotten more of the same. What a shame. We are tired of the Federal government not binding to their limited powers as provided in our great Constitution. Instead, they have wrapped their creepy fingers around our very essence and are squeezing us to death. The power of the Federal government is simply to uphold our laws and protect our citizens. It is time to responsibly sunset the massive array of programs and regulations that are strangling our freedoms. Mr. Brown, we are paying attention. UPDATE: On July 15, 2010, Senator Brown failed us yet again with another blow to a free capitalist system. Mr. Brown voted to pass the so-called Financial Reform bill. This is nothing more than a further increase of government power and regulation which will do little to impact large financial institutions but will have costly effects towards home town banks and every day financial institutions that had no part in the Wall Street meltdown.
